How to Use Numark Total Control With Logic 8

The Numark Total Control is a DJ interface that allows users to create professional DJ mixes at their computer quickly and fluidly. Logic 8 is an audio and MIDI recording and editing application developed by Apple. The Total Control is designed to be able to hook up to a computer and control audio applications such as Logic. This allows users not only access to the functions of Logic, but the ability to use the Numark interface as well.

Instructions

      Connect the Numark Total Control to the computer with the USB cable. When the device is turned on, it will automatically install any required drivers.

      Click the Logic 8 icon on the desktop. When asked to load or start a new project, select whichever option is most desirable.

      Click the "Preferences" icon at the top of the screen when the project window loads. Select the "MIDI tab." The Numark Total Control should be listed as an input device. If it is not, open the dropdown menu and select it as the main MIDI input. Click "OK" to apply changes and use the Total Control in Logic 8.
