How to Print a List of Songs From My MP3 Player

MP3 players are a great way to take your music with you, but sometimes you need a physical list of the songs on your player. Maybe you want to show someone your music without having to take your player with you, or maybe you just want to have a printed list. Whatever the reason may be, most MP3 player software makes it easy to create a playlist of songs on your MP3 player that you can print.

Instructions

  1. Using iTunes

    • 1

Start iTunes and connect your MP3 player to your computer.

    • 2

Click on "Music" under "Devices" and then go to "File," then "New Playlist."

    • 3

Drag the songs you print into that new playlist. After you have finished creating your playlist, organize it as you wish by clicking on "Artist," "Album," "Name" or another option at the top.

    • 4

Click on the playlist to highlight it and then go to "File," then "Print." Select the style in which you want the list to be printed and click "OK."

    Using Winamp

    • 5

Download and install Winamp (Windows only). Launch the program after installation is complete.

    • 6

Connect your MP3 player to your computer. It will appear in Winamp under "Devices."

    • 7

Right-click on the name of your MP3 player and select "New Playlist."

    • 8

Click on your device name to see a list of all the songs on your MP3 player. Right-click on the ones you want to print and select "Send to Playlist," and then choose the playlist you just created.

    • 9

Go to "View," then "Playlist Editor." Double-click on the playlist you just created to open the playlist in the Playlist Editor on the right side of the program window.

    • 10

Click on the "Misc" button in the Playlist Editor. In the menu that appears, select "Misc" again and then "Generate HTML Playlist." An HTML playlist will appear in the main pane of the program window.

    • 11

Right-click on where it says "right-click here to save this HTML file" and save the file to your computer. Open the file by double-clicking on it and then press control-P to print the playlist.
