How to Burn One Song From a Disk

You can burn one song from a disk using your computer. All Windows computers have audio software called Windows Media Player that can complete this task. You can use this software to rip the song or songs you wish duplicate. Once on your computer, you can use the software to burn the song or songs to a recordable CD.

Things You'll Need

  • Computer with CD burner
  • Windows Media Player
  • Blank CD-R

Instructions

      Click the "Start" button on your computer.

      Highlight the "Programs" category.

      Click "Windows Media Player."

      Place the disk containing the song you want to burn into your computer. A list of the songs on the CD will appear in the Media Player window.

      Check-mark the song on the disk you want. Make sure all of the other songs on the disk do not have a check mark.

      Click the "Rip CD" button inside of Windows Media Player and one song will be ripped and saved in Windows Media Player.

      Eject this disk from your computer and insert a blank CD-R (CD Recordable).

      Click the "Burn" tab and drag the song you just ripped into the "Burn List."

      Click "Start Burn" and Windows Media Player will burn the one song to the CD-R.
