How to Name an Album on an MP3

An MP3 file stores its information in an embedded ID3 tag, which indicates an MP3's artist, album name, year, genre and other information. Even if you change the name of an MP3, its ID3 tags remain the same. Many portable music players use ID3 tags to sort MP3s. If your MP3 albums are tagged incorrectly, you may not be able to find them in the music player's interface. You can use the Windows built-in Media Player program if you need to add an album tag to an MP3 or correct a badly tagged album.
