How to Synthesize Voice on Mixcraft 5

Synthesized voices may not sound realistic, but they can add greatly to your music. Acoustica's Mixcraft music-production software includes several built-in voice synthesizer patches, including "Concert Choir," which emulates a church choir singing in unison; "Vox Percussion," which simulates a beatboxer; and "Boy Band," which sings "doo doo doo." Once you synthesize a voice in Mixcraft, make it "sing" using the piano roll editor or an attached MIDI keyboard.

Instructions

    • 1

Start Acoustica Mixcraft. Click the "Change Instrument" icon, which looks like a piano keyboard, underneath "1 Instrument Track."

    • 2

Scroll to and click "Vox" in the "Category" list. Click on one of the synthesized voices in the "Instrument Preset" column.

    • 3

Click the "Show Details" button. Type in new values for the voice's "Vol," "Pan," "Range" and "Velocity" settings, if desired.

    • 4

Click "Musical Typing." Click a key on the virtual piano keyboard that appears to preview the synthesized voice. Click "Close Window" to apply the new instrument to the track.
