The Dixie Chicks are an American country music band consisting of sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison, along with Natalie Maines. The group was formed in 1989 in Dallas, Texas, and released their debut album, Dixie Chicks, in 1990.
The Dixie Chicks' music video for their hit song "Wide Open Spaces" was filmed in Monument Valley, Utah, and features the band members riding horses and singing on a mountain. The video was released in 1998 and was a huge success, helping to launch the Dixie Chicks to mainstream fame.
