Grants for Women Songwriters

Making a living as a songwriter can be a difficult proposition. Like any job in the arts, there's no such thing as job security, and for every successful entertainer there are thousands of women who are forced to make a living elsewhere. Whether you need the money to put together your first album, or simply to meet daily living costs, several different types of grants are available to female songwriters.
  1. The Leeway Foundation

    • The Leeway Foundation offers grants to women who address social change with their art. This grant is offered twice a year in March and September. Applicants must reside in the Delaware Valley, and cannot have received over $2,500 in funding within the last year. Eligible applicants can receive $2,500 dollars and apply for an additional $1500 in the next cycle.
