Two religious stations operate in the Fort Pierce market. WTCE is a Christian television station that offers a number of different programs for viewers in the market, and operates directly out of Fort Pierce. WFGC also offers Christian programming to viewers and is headquartered in West Palm Beach, just a short distance (approximately one hour) from Fort Pierce.
WTCE-TV operates in the West Palm Beach-Fort Pierce market from 3601 North 25th Street in Fort Pierce. The station is owned and operated by TBN, and the programming is broadcast locally on channel 21. The station airs programming from TBN, as well as local programs such as "Praise the Lord" and "Joy in Our Town." "Praise the Lord" is hosted by local pastors, and features stories of crusades and revivals, as well as offering music, and is broadcast on Fridays at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 a.m. "Joy in Our Town" offers viewers community and public affairs information, and is broadcast Monday at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2:30 a.m. and Friday at 12 p.m.
In addition to local programming, WTCE offers five substations through the station's digital signal. These include TBN programs, Church, JCTV, Enlace and Smile. The Church Channel brings church services and ministry programs to viewers, with a variety of services and speakers broadcast. JCTV is geared toward Christian youth, offering music videos, talk shows and live events. Enlace offers the large Spanish-speaking population in the area religious broadcasting in their native language.
WFGC broadcasts out of West Palm Beach, Florida, and although it is not directly located in Fort Pierce it is part of the West Palm Beach-Fort Pierce market. The station was Palm Beach County's first full-power Christian station, beginning broadcasting in May 1993. The station is part of the Christian Television Network, and provides viewers with Christ-centered programming that is suitable for the whole family, and for viewers from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
