Dallas Weather Stations

All of the National Weather Service (NWS) stations actively serving the Dallas area are located at public or private airports. The NWS collects data from multiple stations across Dallas, aggregates the data, and uses it to provide weather reports, forecasts and warnings for the Dallas metropolis. Some local TV and radio stations, such as CBS 11, also report weather from personal weather stations on their websites or local news casts.
  1. Dallas Fort Worth Airport

    • Dallas Fort Worth Airport is located in West Dallas and is the largest airport in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, serving as a hub for American Airlines. The DFW Airport has been collecting weather data since August 14, 1974. The Call Sign for this weather station is DFW/KDFW.     Dallas Love Field

    • Dallas Love Field is an airport located in South Central Dallas. It is the second largest general purpose airport in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, serving as a headquarters for Southwest Airlines.     Dallas Hensley Field Nas

    • Dallas Hensley Field is a Naval Air Station located in Southwest Dallas. The airport itself was decommissioned in 1998 but later recomissioned to serve the Texas Air National Guard, the Army Reserves and the Marine Forces Reserve.     • Dallas Redbird Airport, whose name was changed to Dallas Executive Airport in 2002, is a private and corporate airport located in Southwest Dallas.
