How to View a Replay of Prime Time TV News

Nightly news broadcasts give a rundown of major news stories from around the world. Some viewers prefer to watch national nightly news programs, such as those on NBC, CBS and ABC. Others prefer the prime-time newscasts on their local TV stations.

There are a few ways to view a replay of a prime-time news program: record the newscast on your VCR or DVR, watch the late-night newscast, or find stories and videos from your favorite TV news program on the Internet.

Set your VCR or DVR to record a prime-time news program. You can record the program for just one night or every night, ensuring that you never miss a broadcast. You can replay the program as many times as you want.

    • 2

Watch or record the late-night broadcast (at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.) of your local news program. Most of the stories and segments used in these broadcasts were already aired in prime time. If you missed a news story then, the station will likely re-air the story at night. Stay up and watch the broadcast or record the episode for later viewing.
