How to Hook Up VoIP to DirecTV

DirecTV, a satellite television provider and, DVR provider TiVo have combined forces to offer customers television and DVR functionality in one package. However, this also creates a hurdle for some customers using VoIP phone service, because TiVo requires a standard phone line to function properly, and not all VoIP services are compatible with TiVo. Hooking up VoIP to DirecTV is straightforward, depending on your VoIP provider and the hardware it supplies.
