Study the posters from previous Bond films to get a sense of their style and tone. James Bond posters tend to emphasize danger and sexuality, often featuring stylized weapons and images of exotic women in skimpy clothes. Many involve direct images from the particular movie they're advertising, but they don't have to.
Focus on a core image for your Bond poster. In some cases, you might want to cram as many different concepts as you can into the poster space, but one or two images tend to be more powerful and send a stronger message.
Sketch out some concept drawings of your Bond poster to get an idea of what you want. It should serve as the blueprint for the actual design.
Choose digital images you want to use for the Bond poster. If you plan to include yourself or a family or friend in the poster, you'll need to choose digital photos of your subject. Otherwise, look on websites such as Stock.xchang or iStockphotos to find good royalty-free pictures of what you're looking for.
Open Adobe Photoshop or a similar graphic design program and create a new image for your poster. Most movie posters are 27 inches wide by 39 inches tall. You can make your Bond poster larger or smaller, but you might wish to keep the dimensions the same to preserve the authentic look.
Open each of the digital images you gathered in Step 4 and cut and past them into the Bond poster image. Paste each image into a new layer so you can keep track of each one.
Arrange your images in the manner you wish until they form a coherent whole. Use Photoshop tools such as the blur feature or the enlarger to adjust the specifics of each layer to make sure the image looks smooth. This usually takes some practice, so don't be discouraged if it takes multiple tries.
Flatten the layers into a single layer to create a complete image of your James Bond poster.
Insert the stars' names at the top of the poster, along the upper edge. Provide at least ½-inch of space between the words and the edge of the frame, and make sure the words don't cover up any key imagery.
Add a tagline and the title of the Bond film about two thirds of the way down the poster. Center the words in the poster, and make sure the title font is large enough to catch the eye.
Insert a credits list below the title and tagline. Include the names of the stars, the director, the writer, the producers, the production designers, the music composers and any other appropriate credits. If you are creating a poster for an existing James Bond film, use the names of the filmmakers, which you can find on the Internet Movie Database. If you are creating a poster for a fictitious James Bond movie, you can use any names you wish.
Doublecheck the poster for any spelling errors, then flatten it again and save it. If you wish, you can print it out and post it, though you might need to shrink the poster if you want to print it out on 8½ by 11-inch paper.
