How to Create Your Own Movie Rating Card

As an art form, movies contain elements of plot, cinematography, dialogue and acting, just to name a few. These aspects can make or break a movie's enchantment on an audience. Reviewing and rating movies on movie rating cards can be an interactive way to spend an evening with friends. Each reviewer has different insights into the value of a movie.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut the card stock into four even rectangles. To do this, fold the card stock in half lengthwise, then fold the card stock again in the other direction. Unfold the card stock and cut along all of the fold lines.

    • 2

Make a list of the elements of a movie which you would like to rate. These will often include plot, acting, cinematography, screenplay, soundtrack, editing and the overall grade of the movie. Include comments and reactions to the movie as part of the rating card.

    • 3

List each of these elements on a rectangle of card stock. List the word, such as "Plot," and then draw a short line next to the element where the rating for that element can be marked. Use the star system, which uses 1 to 5, or the percentage system from 0 to 100. Indicate what system you will use at the top of the card.

    • 4

Create a space for overall comments and the final grade of the movie on the back of the cards.
