How to Make SWF Files

SWF files are built into Adobe Flash, which is a design program used to create animated films. These files are made in any Adobe Flash Player environment, which you can download or buy from Adobe. To build SWF files from a movie, you will need special software that converts the movie into SWF. You must purchase these software programs individually.

Instructions

      Download and install Adobe Flash on your computer. This program is available from Adobe and can be downloaded from their website (see Resources below). It is also available in software stores like Best Buy.

      Open the Flash program on your computer.

      Create your animation using the Flash program. This involves knowledge of the Flash program language.

      Save your Flash animation on the Adobe program. This will create an SWF file, which you can publish to the Web using an FTP client and display in a Web page by embedding the animation in the HTML code.
