If you have a PC, check your computer to make sure you have one of the following operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. In order to display the watch instantly movies, your Internet browser needs to be either Firefox 2 (or newer) or Internet Explorer 6.0 (or newer). For Mac computer users, you'll need OS 10.4.8 (or newer) as your operating system and Safari 3 (or newer) or Firefox 2 (or newer) as your browser.
Sign up for a Netflix DVD plan by visiting the Netflix Web site. Plans range in the amount of DVDs you can rent at one time, starting from allowing one DVD out at a time (with a two DVDs per month limit or unlimited) all the way to eight DVDs out at a time (unlimited deliveries). Every unlimited membership level (starting at $8.99/month) allows access to the Watch Instantly queue of titles without limitations.
Log into your Netflix membership account. Choose "Watch Instantly" from the menu tabs; you will be directed to the available titles. All movies are sectioned off by genres, which include drama, horror, romance, documentaries and TV sitcoms - just to name a few.
Select a title that interests you and choose "Play" -- this will open a video play window. For first-time viewers, the player will prompt you to download the Netflix Movie Viewer software. This one-time download will last under 60 seconds for those with a high-speed Internet connection. Once the download is complete, you are able to watch any movie or TV series within the Watch Instantly library.
Select the "Full Screen" button within the bottom-right corner of the video player to enlarge the movie. After selecting, the movie will be showcased on the entire screen -- not within the video player box. To exit full screen mode, simply press the "Esc" key on your keyboard.
