How to Output an HDMI to a VGA Monitor

HDMI is the latest, and greatest, video output cable that is primarily used with high-definition signals. Unlike the component cables that have been used for decades, HDMI includes both the video and audio stream in a single connection. The HDMI output was not used in many TVs prior to the plasma flat-screen emergence. Many of those TVs, however, do have a VGA connection. If this is the case for your TV, you can use an adapter to connect your HDMI component to your TV.
