Instructions

    • 1

Look for the security stickers on the top or side of the shrink-wrapped box. All Disney DVDs come with one of these security seals.

    • 2

Examine the back of the box for the "Buena Vista" print on the shrink wrap. Disney DVDs come with the Buena Vista print.

    • 3

Make note of the weight and structure of the box. Disney DVDs come in high quality, heavier plastic cases with a place for the movie index on the inside. Bootleg cases are lighter weight and lack a table of contents or other interior fliers.

    • 4

Pay attention to the quality of the ink used in printing the cover of the box, disc and any interior fliers. Disney DVDs only use high quality ink. Damaged or blurred cover art is a sign of a fake.

    • 5

Locate the serial numbers circling the center ring of the reflective side of the disc. If you cannot read all of the numbers, then the DVD is fake.
