Located at 24202 61st Ave in Little Neck, MovieWorld is a large multiplex theater airing new releases, including 3-D films. The theater includes Cafe D'Angelos, offering the usual movie fast food fare (hot dogs, pizza, burgers, sandwiches) but also ice cream, candy apples, Gelato and Italian ices. Tickets can be purchased in person or online. As of January 2011, a ticket costs $9.50 for an adult and $8.00 for children.
On the opposite side of Oakland Gardens, at 190-02 Horace Harding Boulevard in Fresh Meadows, is an AMC Loews multiplex with seven screens. As part of the AMC chain of movie theaters, this location includes all the features found in similar theaters across the country. As of January 2011, tickets cost $10.50 each for adults and $7.50 for children.
Exclusively showing Bollywood films, which are produced and filmed in India, Bombay Theatre is in the Fresh Meadow/Flushing area at 6825 Fresh Meadow Lane. While a specialty theater, Bombay is part of the Phoenix Big Cinemas company. Like other theaters focusing on international films, Bombay tickets are a little more expensive than others. As of January 2011, a ticket costs $11.00 for an adult and $8.00 for children.
Slightly farther than the others, in the city of Flushing, is Main Street Cinemas at 7266 Main Street. Main Street is a smaller theater, with some auditoriums containing approximately 25 seats. It offers considerably lower prices, which, as of January 2011, run between $4 and $6.50.
