Open up Final Cut Pro 6.0 on your computer.
Use the easy setup, HDV, 29.97, HDV - 1080i60 FireWire Basic, to log and capture each of the shot clips.
Select compressor. Choose add file. Navigate to the capture scratch folder for the clips you captured. Open all of the clips.
Select the first clip in the batch.
Choose the setting "Apple ProRes 422 for Progressive material" by navigating to Settings tab > Apple > Other Workflows > Advanced Format Conversions > Apple Codecs. Drag it onto the first clip.
Double click the setting on the first clip and highlight the Inspector window.
Select Inspector and navigate to Encoder Settings > Video Settings. Change the frame rate to Custom; enter 23.976.
Select Inspector and navigate to frame controls. Enable frame controls and adjust these settings: Set frame controls to on; set deinterlace to reverse telecine.
Click save as and name the file "HV20 HDV 24p to ProRes 24p."
Add the new custom setting to your captured clips and submit the batch.
