Sketch a fox head first with drawing paper and HB pencil. A fox has features between a cat and a dog. Follow the contours or outline of the head to accurately illustrate it. Use Dahl's "The Fantastic Mr. Fox," as a guide for this project.
Draw eight lines underneath your fox head, using the head as a measuring guide. Start line one underneath the head, and then add eight more lines with the same spacing as the fox head. A human body is approximately eight heads tall. These lines will help you give your fox good human body proportions. You can number them also to easily draw your human body. Number one is at the neck.
Add a human neck to your fox head, about a quarter of head long. The second line down from the head is the chest, third is the waist, and fourth is the bottom of the pelvis. Using these marks as a guide, draw your human body with arms. Arms drop down to a length around the thigh, which would be between the fourth and fifth lines. However, give your fox paws rather than human hands. Fox paws are similar to dog paws.
Draw the rest of the legs, but give fox feet to your illustration. The thighs are line five, knees are at line six, and seven is the bottom of the calf muscle. Your feet should be bare paws, similar to your hand paws but bigger. Once you have a basic human body, you can add clothing.
Draw the contours of a T-shirt on the chest of your fox. Add short sleeves and end the T-shirt just below the waist between lines three and four.
Add pants where the T-shirt ends, following the contours of your body. End the pant legs around line seven just above the feet of your fox. Leave your fox barefoot.
