Traps
Traps can be a variety of different types, including:
Counter Traps: These traps can be activated in response to an opponent's card effect, negating the effect and sometimes destroying the card.
Continuous Traps: These traps remain face-up on the field after being activated and continue to apply their effects until they are destroyed or negated.
Normal Traps: These traps are activated face-down and can be activated during either player's turn.
Field Traps: These traps are face-up on the field and affect both players equally.
Spells
Spells can also be a variety of different types, including:
Normal Spells: These spells are cast and resolve immediately, providing a variety of effects such as drawing cards, destroying cards, or healing life points.
Continuous Spells: These spells remain face-up on the field after being cast and continue to apply their effects until they are destroyed or negated.
Ritual Spells: These spells are used to summon monsters from the Graveyard by discarding monsters of the specified level.
Equip Spells: These spells are attached to monsters to give them an extra effect or boost in attack or defense.
Quick-Play Spells: These spells can be activated directly from the hand instead of having to be set first.
Both traps and spells can be played strategically to gain an advantage over your opponent and win the duel.
