1. Enter Victory Road from Route 27 outside Goldenrod City.
2. Follow the linear path through the cave, battling wild Pokémon and trainers along the way. Some of these trainers use Pokémon with high levels, often in the mid-70s. Be prepared for challenging battles.
3. On the first floor, you'll encounter Psychic-type Pokémon, such as Starmie and Jynx. Bring Pokémon that can resist or hit these Pokémon for super-effective damage.
4. On the second floor, you'll find Ground and Rock-type Pokémon, such as Rhyhorn and Onix. Bring Water or Grass-type Pokémon to counter them.
5. On the third floor, you'll face more difficult battles against Pokémon like Aerodactyl, Dragonite, and Salamence. Bring Ice or Rock-type Pokémon to hit them for super-effective damage.
6. At the end of Victory Road, you'll reach Champion Lance's room. Be prepared for a tough battle against his team of Dragon-type Pokémon. Bring Ice or Fairy-type Pokémon to take them down.
7. After defeating Lance, you'll receive the Champion Badge and become the Champion of the Pokémon League in SoulSilver. You'll also unlock the ability to rebattle Lance from the Pokémon League building in Kanto.
Remember to keep your Pokémon healed and at high levels as you progress through Victory Road, and be ready for challenging battles against some of the strongest trainers in Johto.
