Lauren's Role:
Lauren Poole helped to launch the organization in 2003 and served as its executive director until 2007. She was responsible for much of the organization's early success and helped to bring the issue of child soldiers to the forefront of the public consciousness. Poole left the organization in 2007 and has since worked on other projects related to international human rights.
Bobby's Role:
Bobby Bailey was another co-founder of the organization and served as its executive director until 2010. He helped to expand the organization's reach and raise awareness of the plight of child soldiers around the world. Bailey left Invisible Children in 2010 and has since worked with other organizations on issues related to children and armed conflict.
After Leaving the Organization:
After leaving Invisible Children, both Poole and Bailey have continued to work on issues related to children and armed conflict. Poole has worked with several other organizations, including the Human Rights Watch and the U.S. Department of State, and she has also given testimony before the U.S. Congress. Bailey has worked with several organizations, including the Enough Project and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and he has also given testimony before the U.S. Congress.
They have both remained committed to the cause of ending the use of child soldiers and have continued to work to raise awareness of the issue around the world.
