Who invented the tango?
There is no singular "inventor" of the tango, as it evolved gradually from various influences over time. The tango originated in the late 1800s in the port districts of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay. It blended elements of African rhythms, European ballroom dances, and local traditions. Over the years, different figures and groups contributed to the development and popularization of the tango, but it would be inaccurate to attribute its invention to a single individual.
