Who created jazz?

There is no single individual who "created" jazz. Jazz is a musical genre that emerged from multiple influences and contributions from diverse cultures and communities, particularly in the African American communities of the southern United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It developed through the integration of African musical traditions, such as syncopated rhythms and collective improvisation, with European musical elements, including harmonies and instruments.

Therefore, jazz is regarded as a collaborative and evolving art form rather than having a single creator. It emerged from the shared musical experiences and expressions of multiple artists, each contributing their unique interpretations and innovations to the genre.
