Stand with your feet slightly apart, step to the left with your left foot and bring in your right foot to meet it by tapping it on the floor. The first step with your left foot is a fairly long movement, followed by a short one with your right foot.
Repeat the same step in the opposite direction so that you make a long step with your right foot and then tap together with your left. This is a basic "step and touch" move and matches the beats of the music. You might do it slightly slower or faster depending on the rhythm.
Bring your left leg up then tap in down again in the same spot without changing your position. Bring your foot up again but this time step to the right. Tap your right foot on the floor then tap it in to meet the first foot in exactly the same way as the previous step.
Do this move in the other direction so that you begin with your right foot and move in the same way. This time, bring your right arm up and curve it in to coincide with the step and then do the same with your left when you move it. There are no definite rules for the arms with reggaeton dance, so move in time with the beat, however you feel most comfortable.
Add to these basic steps by introducing turns or gyrations in the style of the reggaton signature dance moves.
