Fairfax, Virginia, is located in the north of the state and is part of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Because Fairfax is surrounded by the capital, a wide variety of nightclubs and bars populate the area. Locals and visitors alike can enjoy a mixture of rock, pop and Top 40 music.
  1. Rene's Club

    • Rene's is a nightclub and restaurant known for its Latin Fridays and International Saturdays. Rene's plays Latin beats, but those of all tastes can enjoy its fun and relaxed atmosphere and large bar. The nightclub is open from Thursday to Saturday until 2 a.m., and the restaurant is open every day with a breakfast and dinner menu.

    Cafe Martini

    • Cafe Martini, located just outside Fairfax, has a large loaded bar, two pool tables and a large dance floor. Throughout the week, Cafe Martini has specials on domestic drafts and appetizers, and the pool tables are free to use. Friday and Saturday nights are often packed as the DJ spins the newest Top 40 music and techno, but throughout the week patrons use the jukebox and enjoy occasional live music.

    So-Addictive Lounge

    • The So-Addictive Lounge is the area's only gay nightclub. The nightclub is open from Monday through Saturday, playing rock, techno, house and Top 40 music. The nightclub hosts drag shows on Tuesday and Wednesday nights; Thursday nights offer a mixture of karaoke and DJ beats. So-Addictive also has a fog machine, 1,000 square feet of dance floor, a stage, and projection TV with two additional plasma screens on the walls.

    Skinifatz Nightspot

    • Skinifatz Nightspot is open Thursdays until 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays until 2 a.m. The DJ's play Top 40 dance hits on Thursday nights and dance music on Friday and Saturday nights. The nightclub has a large dance floor and two fully stocked bars, as well as an oversize fireplace and large windows that overlook the Potomac River.
