Music Nightclubs Near Taunton, MA

  1. Bobby's Place

    • Bobby's Place is a gay bar that is open seven days a week. Tuesdays offer 80s music and videos as well as free pool with no cover. DJ Juan and DJ Sarge split Fridays, with a different theme every week and four video screens in the video lounge. On Saturdays, the dance floor opens at 9 p.m. with DJ Mike Electra, and the video lounge expands to six different screens. Wednesdays and Sundays offer customers a no-cover karaoke night.

    Steve's Backstage Pass

    • For those interested in live music, Steve's Backstage Pass is the place to be in Taunton. Every Tuesday is blues night, and patrons are encouraged to bring their own instruments and jam. Every Wednesday is karaoke night. Different types of music, including rock and folk, are featured other nights of the week. Steve's also hosts local favorites and touring bands. As of summer 2010, the cover charge is $5, and all cover money goes towards the bands.

    Tantric Nightclub

    • Tantric Nightclub is an upscale, New York City--style night club twenty minutes outside of Taunton in Providence, Rhode Island. Thursdays are college nights, offering casual dress and a cover charge of between $5 and $10. Fridays are for Latin and hip-hop music lovers. Friday's dress code bars sneakers and casual jeans, allowing only dress jeans. Saturday night is international music night, and male patrons must wear a casual collared shirt, jeans and dress shoes. Private parking is available for $5, and valet parking is available for $10.

    Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel

    • A Providence mainstay since 1974, Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel offers live music ranging from hardcore punk to underground hip-hop. The club is usually general admission but does offer reserved mezzanine seating for select shows. Lupo's is located in the former location of the Strand Theater.
