The London International Tango Festival is an annual festival held at Porchester Hall in London, England during the third week of November. Produced by the Academia Nacional del Tango (UK), the three-day festival features nightly performances by internationally recognized tango pairs. In addition to the performances, the festival has at least 50 master classes in eight different venues. It culminates in the Grand Festival Ball, which is open evening of dancing for all attendees.
The Istanbul Tango Ritual is an annual five-day festival held during the first week of November in Istabul, Turkey. The 2010 festival was held at the Suada Club, a man-made islet that includes large dance rooms with 360-degree views of the water. It featured performances and master classes with pairs such as Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Horacio Godoy and Maria Laura Zaracho, Federico Naveira and Ines Muzzopappa, as well as Ariadna Naveira and Fernando Sánchez. The festival offers daily performances and workshops by the guest artists and includes nightly milongas (until dawn) for the participants.
The Belgrade International Tango Festival is held annually during the first week of November in the Serbian capital of Belgrade. The 2010 festival included three pairs of internationally-renowned dancers, each accompanied by special guests Beltango quintet Serbia. The program included nightly performances by the guest artists, a tango workshop, and daily milongas in two venues. The workshops were open to dancers in the beginner, intermediate, intermediate-advanced and advanced skill levels.
The Fandango de Tango is an annual five-day festival held during the last week of November in Austin, Texas. The 2010 festival offered performances and classes by seven pairs of tango professionals. Overall, it featured more than 125 hours of tango dancing with 35 hours of social dances. Each day culminated in a milonga that lasted until 3 a.m. with a special all-night milonga that concluded at 5 a.m. The classes, which were divided into six different skill levels, were instructed by the guest artists.
