Listen to the song "Good Time" by Alan Jackson to get a feel for the beat and rhythm of the song.
Start with your right foot, walking forward and placing the toe down first, then the heel. Repeat on the left foot, right again, and then left.
Put your right leg out to the side and bring it back in to touch the left twice. Step out with your right leg and swing the left leg around towards the front to turn your body. Your back will now be facing the front of the room. Complete the turn by swinging your right leg towards the back to swivel your body around, placing the feet together. Clap your hands when the two feet meet and you are facing forward again.
Step out to the side with your left leg twice and repeat the turn on the left side, clapping your hands when your two feet meet and you are facing forward.
Lift the right leg at the knee with the foot at an angle facing the left leg and hop, and place the right leg behind the left leg. Repeat on the left side, then once again on the right. On the last right side, end with feet shoulder length apart.
Hop and cross the feet. Hop again while uncrossing the feet and executing a one-quarter turn to the left. Do a cha cha with the right foot, placing the weight on the ball of the foot. Step forward with the left foot, while swinging hips. Step back with left foot and do a cha cha step, then step backward with the right foot while swinging the hips.
Step out to the right, while bending the knees and shaking the shoulders back and forth, while dragging left foot into the right. Step out to the right again and bend the knees and shake the shoulders. Repeat the dance from the beginning for the length of the song.
