Gay Latino Clubs in NYC

While many New York City nightclubs host Latin parties and attract a Latin crowd, the city also hosts clubs in Manhattan and Queens that cater to the Latin community all week long. Of course, you do not have to be Latin to enjoy the drink specials, drag queens or the Latin music. Each venue sports a mixed clientele.
  1. Escuelita

    • Manhattan’s legendary gay Latin nightclub calls home the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 39th Street, along the edge of the Hell’s Kitchen and Theatre District neighborhoods. Open every night of the week but Monday and Wednesday, Escuelita has a cozy main room with low ceilings, and a stage in the back for performances. Sundays, the club opens early at 8 p.m. for a tea dance. Other days, it opens at 10 p.m. There are drink specials each night, and each night boasts different DJs, hosts, go-go boys and drag queens; however, the type of music is consistent: hip-hop, R&B, reggaeton, bachata and merengue. On your birthday, you can receive free admission, a special drink and a gift bag. VIP tables with bottle service can be reserved on the club's website. With a membership card, you save on the nightly admission fees.

On Tuesdays, Atlantis hosts a movie night with free popcorn. New York magazine notes that Atlantis’ “strippers resembling Diesel models and drag talent modeled after the Fantanas are bound to entertain.”
