What does planned improvisation?

Planned improvisation is a way of performing on the fly that combines both planning and improvisation.

It involves taking an existing structure or plan and allowing room for spontaneous and unplanned moments to occur. Planned improvisation requires preparation and careful forethought, but leaves space for creative input in the moment.

Planned improvisation combines aspects of structured planning with open-ended improvisational freedom, fostering creativity while providing a strong underlying context within which to perform.
