How to Do the Crab Dance

For tourists and beach-bums alike, it's difficult to see a crab scuttling about on a beach without smiling. Now there is a way of eliciting that same delight far from a beach, by doing the crab dance. The crab dance is a fun, simple move anyone can do anywhere to any type of music. It is sure to bring smiles to faces and instantly enliven any party or social gathering.

Instructions

Bow your legs out at around a 45-degree angle, arch your back slightly and put your arms out to your sides so that your elbows are parallel with your collar. Open your fists so that your fingers and thumb form a "C" when viewed straight-on.

    • 2

Turn on the music, have a friend turn it on for you or just start singing.

    • 3

Keeping your legs and arms in position, hobble back-and-forth and close and open your palms in beat with the music.
