Look for the name of the report’s author. In many cases, this may just be the company’s name or the name of the department that reproduced the report. Enter the author’s last name, a comma and then the first name. If more than one author, enter names alphabetically. Include only one or two authors and the words “et.al.” Enter the second author name first and then last name. Place a period after the name(s).
Cite a particular section of a report by placing the section name in quotation marks after the author name. Separate the two with a period. Place another period before the closing quotations, but after the section name.
Identify the type of report you are citing. Place the type of report before the title, then a colon and the title. Enter the title of the report in italics. Place a period after the title.
Identify the company name and where it is located. Enter this information next. List the location of the company's headquarters followed by a colon. Enter the full legal name of the company.
Add a comma and the year the report was created. Place a period at the end.
Enter the date that you viewed the source, date first, the month and then the year. Type the less than (<) symbol followed by the exact web location of the report. End with a greater than (>) symbol.
