What is the origin of word Education?

The word "education" comes from the Latin verb educare, meaning "to bring up, to train, to instruct". The word educare is derived from two Latin roots:

e- (meaning "out") and

ducare (meaning "to lead").

So, the word "education" literally means "to lead out". This refers to the process of bringing out or developing the potential of an individual. Education helps to bring out the best in a person by developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
