How to Connect Your Kindle to the Linksys WRT150N

Your Kindle supports Wi-Fi connections using 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n standards that operate at a 2.4 GHz frequency, so it is compatible with your Linksys WRT150N Wireless-N router. Connecting to the router's wireless network enables you to directly access your Amazon account to download e-books and update account settings. If your Kindle version supports cellular data connections, you can still use your wireless connection for increased speeds and conservation of your cellular data plan.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Home" button of your Kindle to return to the main screen.

    • 2

Press the "Menu" button and select "Settings" using the 5-Way controller.

    • 3

Select "View" in the Wi-Fi Networks section to view a list of available networks.

    • 4

Select "Connect" next to the Linksys wireless router. If you haven't changed the default SSID name, it will be appropriately named "Linksys."

    • 5

Enter the password for your Linksys Wi-Fi network and select "Submit" to complete the connection.
