How to Find Strings With a Kindle

One of the advantages of the Kindle's digital e-book format is the ability to search for strings of text. This feature enables you to locate specific passages that pertain to the searched term. When multiple results exist, the Kindle displays snippets of text to help you identify the passage you need. Simply clicking one of the results moves you to that location in the book.

     Press the "Home" button, highlight the book you want to search and press the "5-Way" controller to open the e-book.

     Press the "Menu" button and select "Search This Book."

     Enter the text string you want to locate and select "Find."

     Press the "Next" page button to flip through multiple results.

   • 5

     Highlight one of the results and press the center button on the "5-Way" controller to view the passage in the book.
