Log onto the Japanese language portion of eLanguage School. Scroll down on the home page and you will find several different lessons. Select the “Before you get started” link to begin using eLanguage School.
Visit the Study Japanese website. Here you can use online flashcards and talk with fellow language learners in an online forum. Click on the “Online Lessons” option to find both beginner and advanced tutorials. Study Japanese uses text and audio lessons and the “Flashcard Trainer” option on the home page is an excellent visual tool.
Go to the Free Japanese Lessons website. On the left side of the home page, you will see links for ten different lessons. You can even watch a video tutorial which is found beneath the “Lesson 10” link. Free Japanese Lessons even has its own MySpace page, which is listed on the home page.
Use The Japanese Page. This website combines written lessons along with videos and podcasts. At the end of each lesson, registered users (registration is free) can comment and ask any questions about that particular lesson. Click on the “Where to Begin” to learn more about TJP or scroll through the different options and click one which interests you.
Log onto the Nihongo o Narau: Learn Japanese home page. Once you do, you will see several tabs on the left side of the Web page. Click on a tab and you will be taken to different lessons for that particular topic (i.e. Grammar Lessons). Useful downloads, such as a Japanese word processing program, can be found by clicking the “Downloads” tab on the home page.
