Make a list of websites and publications willing to do reviews of electronic books. There are numerous websites that sell electronic books. These websites typically have staff reviewers willing to look at electronic books for review purpose. A quick, polite, well written email to some of these websites will usually get your book on the review list. You can consult a directory of ebook reviewers online at no charge (see resources).
Format your book in a universal file type. The most common is the cross-platform PDF. You can produce one PDF file and submit it to as many websites as possible. To make a PDF file of your book, you'll need software that writes to the PDF format. If you have the newest version of Word, there's a plug in that allows you to save your book as a PDF file. If not, you can use free PDF software such as CutePDF to save your book as PDF, including all text and graphics. Save the PDF file after your book is fully formatted. The electronic book you submit for review should be the version you're distributing to the public.
Write an email to the reviewer in charge of reviewing the genre of your book. The directory of ebook reviewers gives you the appropriate information. Make the email short and to the point and ask for a review. Don't attach your ebook until you get a response. End your email by stating that you will be happy to send a copy of your ebook for review upon request. You can also include your short bio at the end of your email.
