How to Make Web Pages Into an eBook

One of the first places to look for information to create an ebook is your own website. Just because the information is already online doesn't mean you can't package a number of pages into an ebook and offer it as a free report or even sell it as an information product.

Instructions

    • 1

Identify the Web pages that will be included in the ebook. Keep them closely related and plan the order of presentation within the ebook to create a logical flow of information for your readers.

    • 2

Copy the text content of each Web page and paste it into a word processor program. Once you have all the pages you plan to include, go through the document and edit it to create smoother transitions between each page of content while removing navigation and other links.

    • 3

Add any formatting or graphics you want included in the final product. Graphics, headers, footers and page numbers create a more professional presentation and make it easier for your reader to consume the information.

    • 4

Save the file on your machine in .doc, .wpd or .txt format. These formats are used by MS Word, WordPerfect and all basic text editors respectively. Note, files in .txt format are not capable of supporting images or advanced formatting.

    • 5

Create a PDF version of your file. If you are not able to do this on your computer visit a website like Freepdfconvert.com and click the browse button. Navigate to the location of your file and click open. Enter your email address and click 'Convert Your File'.

    • 6

Wait for FreePDFConvert.com to create your PDF file. When it's done you will be given a download link for your file as well as emailed the download link. Your PDF ebook will be delivered in zipped format so you will need a program like WinZip to extract it.
