How to Make a Ticket Stub

You may think ticket stubs have no other purpose than allowing patrons entry to an event. However, by using a few artistic considerations, you can create a ticket stub that is easy to understand, informative and visually pleasing.

  1. The assignment

      List the date and time, name(s) of those performing, the location of the event and any other pertinent information that could be used to make the ticket stub look better (like the band's favorite colors or its logo).

      Create a "hierarchy of elements" in which you list in order from most to least important, the many elements which have to fit in. Here is an example:
      1) The name of the band
      2) The date of the event
      3) The time of the event
      4) The location of the even(including helpful information on finding the venue)
      5) Price of the ticket
      6) Legal information(can be placed on the back of the ticket)

      Place each element of the ticket in its place. Use your software's resize and placement tools to make the most important elements

      Add symbols and other aesthetics.

      Choose colors for your ticket that are not only pleasing to the eye, but also increase the readability of the ticket.
