Scan all hard copy portfolio items such as photographs, charts, artwork, blueprints, etc. and save them as individual files on your computer.
Insert a blank CD-RW into your computer drive. Drag and drop the individual scanned files onto the CD and select "Burn." If you want the viewer to see the designs in a specific order, you can import each scanned file into presentation and slide show software to view in a slide show. You can then include a title and description for each slide and save the presentation as a PDF file.
Organize digital design examples of your past through current work. Include 3-D design projects, animation, videos, interactive architecture layouts and any other relevant pieces for a more technologically savvy audience. Convert your documents to allow hyperlinking between them or even include whole websites you have designed in file-format.
Use multimedia authoring software to build a flow chart presentation defining your focus and goals. Incorporate multimedia elements from your body of work to provide context for your advancement and career focus.
Create electronic slideshows using multimedia slideshow software. Integrate sound and video clips as they pertain to your work.
Create a PDF file and include text, graphics, webpage hyperlinks and even form fields using interactive form software. Link between multiple PDF files by double-clicking the main document. Select the "Open" button, "Tools," "Advanced Editing" and the "Link" tool. Use the hairline cross to select where you want the hyperlink to begin and click it. Go to "Page View" and select where you want the hyperlink to end.
Burn the elements of your portfolio to a blank CD-RW.
Create a design to use as a label for your CD.
Import the design into a CD labeling program and center it in a CD label design.
Print out the label and evenly place it on the CD.
Place the disc in a CD jacket or jewel case.
