Northwest Art Festivals

The American Northwest has several major art festivals, many of which are held in Washington State near Seattle. Many of the festivals are unique to the host community. In some cases, artist collectives came together to create festivals to help up-and-coming artists find a venue for their work. Together, these artist communities have created a nurturing environment for local artists in Washington State.
  1. Sequim Lavender Festival

    • The three-day Sequim Lavender Festival is held in mid-July in the Washington town of Sequim. The event revolves around lavender-plant farms in Sequim. Northwest artists display their work at the downtown street fair to commemorate the crop, many utilizing lavender in their works of art. The festival also features food, drink, games and tours of farms where lavender is grown.
