How to Make Funny Faces Out of Normal Photos

You've probably seen those funny photos floating around your favorite social media websites. Made from seemingly normal photos, they've been transformed into funny, stretched faces reminiscent of the images you'd see in a wavy fun house mirror. Those normal photos underwent their transformation courtesy of photo editing software, most often a tool described as a "face warp." You can make your own funny faces out of normal photos using similar digital image editing tools or by uploading your normal photo to a website that can warp it for you.

Things You'll Need

  • Digital photo of your face
  • Digital photo editing software, such as Photoshop
  • Access to the Internet (optional)

      Open your photo editing software.

      Click on "File" and then "Open" in your photo editing software. Select the digital photo of your face from your photo folder by clicking on it twice.

      Search for a tool in your software called "Warp," "Liquefy," "Distort" or something similar. You may have to experiment with your individual software. In Photoshop, you'd use Liquefy or Distort, depending on your version of Photoshop; those options are located until "Filters."

      Select the specific warping tool you want to use to get the desired effect; you might use a "Pucker" or "Pinch" tool to make parts of your face laughably small, or a "Bloat" or "Sphere" tool to comically enlarge your features. Use your mouse to click on the areas of your face you want to distort or warp.
