Take a photograph of yourself, or find one you already have that you would like to be animated.
Upload your photograph from your digital camera to the computer via a USB cable or FireWire. Scan a developed photograph into your computer and save the photograph to your pictures folder.
Browse search engines to find a list of websites which will animate your photograph. Type in 'how to animate a photograph.' A list of potential websites will appear on the screen.
Choose a website which suits your requirements, such as ease of use and, possibly, free of charge.Try websites like Zwinky, Photo or Gickr, which make it easy to upload a photograph and turn it into an animation in just a few clicks.
Make your photo animation following the website programs online instructions. The program will require you to upload a photograph from your pictures folder via clicking a browse or upload button. Select your photo. Use the program's online editing program with a selection of animation options for you to manually convert your photograph into an animation. Some programs may do it automatically for you.
Set up a photo shoot. Place a digital camera on a tripod. Place a subject of your choice in a marked spot and take a photograph.
Change the position of the subject slightly, keeping it on the same marked spot, and take a second photograph. Repeat this shooting process 25 times to create 1 second worth of photo animation.
Upload your still photographs to your computer using a USB cable or your FireWire.
Save your photographs to your pictures folder.
Open up your movie editing program, such as Windows Movie Maker.
Upload your photograph files to the editing program. Click on your photographs in the right sequence and drag them to your editing bar and release.
Go to the editing timeline. Reduce the time duration of each photographic frame by sliding the slide bar along to create the shortest time frame possible. The less time each frame is reduced to, the faster the animation will be when played.
Press the play button on the movie player screen. Watch the subject within your photograph start to become animated. Save your animation.
