Read the palm of the most active hand, the one with which you write.
Note the major lines on the hand: the heart line, the head line, and the life line.
Examine the heart line, which is the line on the hand that runs from just below the pinky finger to below the index finger, as the first major line at the top of the palm. A highly curved heart line means a person who is more active and passionate in love, while a straight line means a person who is more thoughtful and reflective about love. A heart line that extends to the index finger often indicates a person who is more choosy about partners, while a heart line that extends to the middle finger indicates a person who is more passionate and impulsive in sexual matters.
Examine the head line, which is usually just below the heart line and ends somewhere around the ring finger. If this line is short, it indicates a person who is direct in his thoughts. A long head line indicates a person who likes to think through actions fully. A curved line indicates a more emotional, artistic thinker, while a straight line indicates a more practical thinker. See if there are branches in the head line -- this can indicate a person who follows many paths of study in her life.
Examine the life line, which runs in a curve from just above the thumb to the wrist. A life line that originates near the thumb indicates a lack of strength. A very curved and full life line indicates a person with a great deal of physical strength; while a straighter, less-curved line can indicate a person who is more intellectually focused than physically focused. Watch for breaks or chains in the life line, which can indicate delicate health.
Examine the individual fingers. The index finger is called the Jupiter finger and indicates leadership and self-esteem. The longer the finger, the stronger these characteristics. The middle finger is the Saturn finger and can relate to a person's relationships in the world, from family relationships to business relationships. A long middle finger indicates a strong work ethic. The ring finger, the Apollo finger, indicates levels of creativity. The longer the finger, the more likelihood that the individual has creative potential. The pinky finger, the Mercury finger, relates to communication and writing. The longer the finger, the more likelihood that the individual will work in communications.
