Create a list of words that describe the DJ. This could include, "punk," "rock," "edgy" or "retro."
Search expert clip-art sources or use a clip-art typeface such as Webdings or Dingbats for images. Choose one image or combine several; select one design style, such as geometric or cartoon.
Place the art in your computer drawing program. Change images by flipping, distorting or adding color. Use basic geometric shapes as a background to add interest.
Add your name and slogan to the design. Experiment with different contrasting fonts of varying shape and weight, such as a bold, heavy font with a handwritten script.
Align your text flush right, flush left or centered. Try placements to the right, left, above or below your design.
Add a complementary color to the design to keep the logo uniform. While color is not required for a good design, it will draw viewers' attention.
Export the image as a GIF, JPG or PNG at 72 dpi for Internet use; export as a TIFF, EPS, PNG, GIF or JPG at 300 dpi (dots per inch) for offline commercial use.
