How to Make Paper Biology Models

An accurate paper biology model is a physical manifestation of comprehension of your subject. If you can create a model that includes all parts of a plant or animal system in the correct places, then you can earn than A on the next biology test. Creating a physical model can also help you to learn physiology as well as anatomy.

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or markers
  • Sticky tape
  • Shoebox
  • Posterboard
  • Wire hanger

Instructions

      Draw a picture of the system that you have been assigned to model.

      Make a list of the individual parts of the system that you will have to create out of paper and gather the materials that you will need to create them.

      Cut out pieces of construction paper in the shape of the parts that you are modeling.

      Glue the cut-out pieces onto a construction paper background to make sure that they won't easily tear or fall apart.

      Fold a small piece on the end of each of the parts and to make a tab and glue the tabs to each other to connect the parts.

      Glue the model onto a piece of posterboard or make a diorama by taping the model inside a shoebox. To hang the model, tape a small piece of string in a loop at the top of the model and looping it around a wire hanger.
