Craft Shows in Tyler State Park, Pennsylvania

Tyler State Park, a 1,711-acre park in Richboro, Pennsylvania, is home to a permanent craft center, two major craft fairs, and several community events featuring crafts.

The Bucks County park, located in the far-eastern section of the state, offers miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The recreational opportunities are endless, in the park’s farm and woodland setting, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.
  1. Earth Center for the Arts

    • The Earth Center for the Arts operates a year-round craft show and educational center in the middle of Tyler State Park. The craft center provides workshops, and doubles as home base for Tyler’s May and October craft fairs. The festivals and center, formerly the States Craft Center operated by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, showcase the work of more than 250 juried crafters throughout the year.

    Crafts in the Meadow

    • The Crafts in the Meadow Fall Invitational Craft Show is annually held in late October at Tyler State Park. The three-day festival features the wares of more than 100 crafters, music, food, demonstrations and children’s activities. The show, hosted by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen for 18 years, was operated by the Earth Center for Arts in 2010.

The hand-made crafts for sale include ceramics, pottery, and furniture, as well as leather, metal, wood and glasswork. Artisans also sell sculpted fiber and fine art items, such as paintings, and often are present to answer questions.

    Spring State Craft Festival

    • The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen hosts the Spring State Craft Festival at Tyler State Park annually in May. The festival features crafts, food and several other family friendly attractions.

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen is part of a nationwide guild with 1,400 members in 33 states. The group is open to any level crafter, and provides workshops, health insurance, and sales and networking opportunities.

    PAWS at Tyler Park

    • The annual Canine Cancer Awareness Walk-a-Thon is a September walk to raise money and awareness of canine cancer, but also provides craftsmen and other vendors a chance to sell their wares. Participants have the chance to win prizes and raffles. The walk is for both humans and their “canine companions.”
