Instructions

    • 1

Open a graphics add-on program on your computer, whether it be Corel Animation Shop or Adobe ImageReady, and open an image you would like to add animated text to. Then, create a new transparent image by putting your cursor up on "File," then selecting "New" and "New Animation." Size the image according to the size of the text you would like to add to it.

    • 2

Place your cursor on the "Type" tool and select it to create your text. Its icon is distinguished by an "A." Decide on what font you would like to use, and on what size and color you want the text.

    • 3

Go to "Effects," choose "Add Image Effect" and select an animation effect from the many choices that appear. You can select any one you want.

    • 4

Right-click on the text and go to "Animation Properties." Click on the "Looping" tab and choose the "Repeat the animation indefinitely" option if it is not already active.

    • 5

Save your animation as a gif file by going to "File" and "Save As," giving it a name that is to your liking.

    • 6

Activate the original image you opened and that you want to add animated text to. Right-click on the image itself or go to "Edit" and "Add New Frame" to add a new frame.

    • 7

Add the animated text you just created to the new frame in your original image, then right-click on it and set the frame properties to an amount you want.

    • 8

Save your image by going to "File" and "Save As." Make sure to save it using a different name than your original image to distinguish it.
